Experience

Ms. Mahla brings with her over 18 years of experience as an Attorney-at-Law and Patent Attorney. She is highly skilled in prior art and invalidity searches, patent drafting and has a wealth of experience in defending and prosecuting matters before the Patent Office, representing clients in oral proceedings, and preparing case briefs for senior counsels.

She is also actively engaged in patent oppositions, patentability and FTO opinions, other contentious proceedings and legal opinions. She has extensive experience in handling large client portfolios and is actively counselling clients to build their intellectual property (IP) portfolios involves guiding them in creating, protecting, and managing their IP rights.

She holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology and an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology, Zoology and Chemistry. Her technical expertise includes significant research in the field of molecular biology at renowned institutions such as the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai, and Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi.

Ms. Mahla has a strong interest in travel and exploration. She is particularly enthusiastic about driving, outdoor activities and off-road experiences.
