Ankita Sabharwal is a Partner at Chadha & Chadha and heads the firm's Data Privacy Practice. She is a technology and data protection lawyer with extensive experience advising multinational corporations, Fortune 500 companies, global technology businesses, emerging startups, and Indian enterprises on complex privacy, technology, intellectual property, and regulatory matters.

Her practice focuses on helping organizations build robust privacy governance frameworks while navigating evolving global and Indian data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), GDPR, CCPA, and other international privacy regimes. She regularly advises clients on privacy compliance programs, cross-border data transfers, AI governance, cybersecurity, data commercialization, digital business models, and technology transactions.

Ankita has significant experience in drafting and negotiating privacy policies, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), consent management frameworks, incident response plans, vendor agreements, cloud and SaaS contracts, and technology licensing arrangements. She also counsels clients on privacy-by-design implementation, regulatory investigations, breach response, outsourcing, and sector-specific compliance requirements.

Beyond her privacy practice, Ankita advises on technology commercialization, software licensing, AI governance, copyright, trademarks, and emerging technology regulation. 

Recognized as a thought leader in the privacy and technology ecosystem, Ankita is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences. She regularly conducts executive workshops

and corporate training sessions on privacy governance, AI regulation, cybersecurity, and emerging regulatory developments.
